What to do
- Vacuum regularly with equipment appropriate for the carpet construction and treat spills using the carpet manufacturer's stain guide.
- Before extraction cleaning, confirm the method is warranty-approved and use correctly operating equipment or a qualified cleaner.
- Do not oversaturate. Use ventilation, fans and dehumidification so carpet and pad dry quickly; EPA recommends drying wet materials within 24–48 hours.
- Do not place furniture or rugs back until the carpet is fully dry, and investigate musty odor or dampness that persists.
