Cleaning & finishes
Clean cabinets and vanities
Painted, stained, laminate and thermofoil cabinets need different products. The installed cabinet or finish instructions take priority.
Recommended timingWipe spills promptly; clean as needed
What to do
- Dust first, then test a soft cloth with warm water in a hidden area; add a small amount of mild soap only when necessary.
- Dab or wipe gently, remove soap residue with a clean damp cloth and dry promptly—especially at door edges, sink bases and seams.
- Do not hang wet towels on doors and avoid abrasive sponges, steam and harsh bleach, ammonia, alcohol or solvent cleaners unless the manufacturer approves them.
- Check below sinks for leaks and protect wood products from prolonged water, plumbing condensation and countertop-appliance heat or steam.
