What to do
- Rinse with a garden hose; use mild soap, a soft cloth or soft-bristled brush for heavier soil.
- Follow the siding manufacturer's cleaner instructions and test products in a hidden area.
- If the manufacturer permits pressure washing, keep the stream level and never aim upward where water can be forced behind panels.
- Inspect after high winds for loose, cracked or distorted panels and check transitions around windows, doors and penetrations.
