- Turn the unit off and clean or replace each indoor-unit filter using the exact model instructions; many mini-split filters are washable.
- Wipe accessible louvers and the exterior cabinet without spraying cleaner into electrical or moving parts.
- Keep the outdoor unit clear of vegetation, snow and debris.
- Watch the condensate discharge during cooling and schedule professional coil, blower, drain and refrigerant service at least yearly or as the manual requires.
