Recommended timingEvery 6–12 months
What to do
- Clean every 6–12 months with a low-pressure garden hose and soft or medium nonmetal brush, working in small sections.
- Do not use a high-pressure washer, hard metal brush or abrasive sponge.
- Inspect paint, fasteners, butt joints and sealant at trim, penetrations and material transitions.
- Keep gutters working and sprinklers, soil, mulch and vegetation from holding moisture against the siding.
- Use compatible repair and touch-up products specified for the installed finish.
